Back from trip to Europe

Got back a couple of days ago... to this ...

...urgh

We had a great time back in the UK seeing all our family.

We saw a couple of signs that made us smile - ones you wouldn't see in Abu Dhabi....

It was my mum and dad's diamond wedding anniversary, so all my family were there, which was nice. We were able to spend some time with my kids and my grandson, Alfie.

From the UK, we went with two of my brothers and their wives to Barcelona. We spent a nice relaxing week there, visiting some of the tourist sites. Me and my bros went to the Camp Nou stadium which was awesome and also we went to the Barcelona F1 GP.

We seemed to be in the Muslim quarter  - home form home :-)

I have lots more pictures, which I may post to a Picasa album and share another time....

Jessica's Graduation

I went home for a long weekend last week to attend Jessica's graduation. It also gave me a chance to see Alice and Alfie again. It was a short but sweet weekend, also fitting in a visit to my parents on the way up to Coventry.

Alfie is such a cute baby (and yeah I know I would say that!) and I'm so proud of what a great mum Alice is, and Josh her boyfriend is also a great dad.

He is quite a giggler now as you can see below.... :-)

Jessica's graduation was held at Coventry Cathedral which is a great venue for it. She looked lovely and was my second cause for feeling proud!

Here's a quick clip of the ceremony.....

Introducing...Alfie!!

We have just got back from a trip to the UK. We had my Niece Diane's wedding to go to and my daughter Alice was due to give birth. Well, she managed to fit it in two days before we were due to leave! She gave birth to Alfie Jack (9lb 5oz) on 29/8. He is awesome, Alice and Josh are proud parents and I am a very proud granddad! He is blessed with many grand parents, so to differentiate me Alice likes calling me a "Baba" I like it too, so it's sticking!

When we got the news we were at my other daughter's (Jessica) house and for some strange reason (which I can't recall right now!) we took this picture!

...and here is Alfie!
