Team GB vs UAE in Olympics Football

July 29th is the day. I will have to find somewhere to watch this so I can wind up the locals! :-) ... or of course could be a very embarrassing night!

Cheeseburger Pizza - Jeeesh

Regular visitors may recall a previous entry I did about Burger King's Pizza Burger ( http://neilandcaz.blogspot.com/2010/10/pizza-burger-yeah-ok-whatever.html ). Well it seems, not to be outdone, Pizza Hut has now retaliated by coming out with a Cheeseburger Pizza. WTF. It's the one at the bottom on the picture below. As if there are not enough obese people in the world!

I thought this was a new phenomena, but with more pizza burger research, I find that it is not the first time they have done it. Below is an ad from 1991 (quite funny actually) and another one below from another company. So, it seems we have great demand in the world for such a gastronomic monstrosity.

Car make over

So I spent the day regaling stories of posh hotels, excessive speed and glamourous venues to my work colleagues today. As I went to the car park to leave for home, this is what greeted me.....

I guess they thought I deserved a permanent upgrade! Cheeky gits.... By the way, I did drive all the way home like that :-)

Etihad [unwanted] Guest #2

Now not only can I not use my Silver card at the Abu Dhabi lounge unless I have a Business Class flight and my Eithad Miles now have an expiry date, they are now actually reducing the number of miles I can earn! When I fly to Heathrow in slob class I was getting 3409 miles, now (only because I am a Silver Card holder) I am getting 2557 miles. I presume "Fare Class" E, U, V, L, Q, M and K would represent 90% of flights booked and H, B and Y would be those "arm and a leg" flights when you have no choice but to take them at the inflated price.

Example:For Travel from Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow flown distance = 3409

Seriously Etihad, your service levels are down, your food is worse, your prices are getting higher and now my Guest Card is becoming irrelevant. Come back BA all is forgiven??
